    Stendel

My guess is The suits will be parachuting Stendel in during the close season in an attempt to get the season ticket sales up.
You heard it here first .

I thought exactly the same Jules, however he has been bitten by Conway and Co before so may think twice about a return! It will be interesting to see which country the next YES MAN comes from?

I think we're going to see next season, just how tougher Lg One has become since our last relegation in '18.
And what a great job Daniel Stendel did ehh, almost everything worked smoothly with him and we almost won the Lg One title along the way.
Id like to see him back again, but I dun't think it will happen and I dun't think it would work out a second time. 😕

Not for me , I know its a different era but we tried that with Allan Clarke & Danny Wilson & neither went well , we have to move forward but hopefully with someone with a proven track record , we will see

I think they'll give it to Disco for the following reasons .

    1 , he's cheap .

2 , he loves the club and knows the crack and would no doubt relish the opportunity .

3 , because our finances are so poor then it's reasonable to suggest plenty of academy and development lads are going to be given opportunities next season , Akroyd , Christie Davis , Wolfe , Moon , Marsh etc etc .

4 , he's well known to reds fans and they hope it will pull the fan base behind the club and improve ST sales .

5 , There's a footprint left by Hecky that proved to be relatively successful who came from the same role when we were in league one .

6 , extremely difficult to hire an HC from within the EU for a club who now resides in league one and will unlikely have the credentials to get a permit .

Can’t argue with those points…. Would the fact that he’s worked here in the UK count towards a work permit.

I'm not sure about that Jules , I'd say probably not if I'd to hang my hat on one side to this .

The permits are geared towards having high level European credentials or at international level , Schopp was a top flight Austrian HC and Poya was Sweden's under 21 coach .

Iseska and Oulare played for the Belgium under 21 side which got them some decent points .

As far as I'm aware Stendel has none of the above credentials other than second tier German football , second tier French football , third and second tier briefly English football .

The short spell at Hearts possibly would have points but I think he would still fall short personally .

I recall Pass's stat of some time ago saying that summat like 27 of the last 30 teams promoted from the Third Division had a British manager with some knowledge of the game at that level.

I read with interest that Warnock was willing to come here as a temporary firefighter and was waiting for the call when The Arseoyle appointed Asbaghi.

This is another fine mess you have got us in Mr Conway.
