As for the Hearts game we started very well then went in to our shell. This is a pattern. Take our last 8 league games
Dundee Utd 2 - 3 Hearts (scored first lost)
Dundee Utd 2 - 2 Dundee (scored first failed to win)
Hibernian 1 - 1 Dundee Utd (scored first failed to win)
St Mirren 1 - 2 Dundee Utd (didn’t score first WON)
Dundee Utd 2 - 2 Hearts (scored first failed to win)
Livingston 2 - 1 Dundee Utd (scored first lost)
Aberdeen 1 - 1 Dundee Utd (scored first failed to win)
Dundee Utd 1 - 1 Rangers (scored first failed to win)
Interestingly the one game we won was the game we conceded first, a winner that was too late to blow.
On Sunday we just didn't look like we knew how to play the game from a wining position. The stats show this could be a confidence thing. This is something Tam needs to look at and sort out.
We are also now a BTTS banker.
Interesting. Unfortunately it's not just about us and what we do.
Actually I agree with you about that, it's all on those two games.
What I was meaning was folk talking about previous games where we were ahead then changed the way we were playing and loose/draw. Just saying that type of thing is not all down to us and some credit needs to be given to the opposition in these situations.
Yeah can't disagree with that. Still an incredibly frustrating statistic though and I'd have to say that tactics need changing and the manager has to react quicker and use his bench better, weak though it is. The young lad Moore was tremendous at ibrox, hasn't been on the park since. Cudjoe looked like he at least had something about him and hasn't been on the park since. MaCleod can't even get on the bench recently but has been banging goals in for the under 18s, I'd like to see these players getting their chance instead of the same tired subs, what's the point of all these youngsters on the bench if Tam has no intention of playing them?
