I'm sure I read somewhere that Warne tried to sign him last summer but he went to Preston instead. He's a very talented player but his injury record is awful, he'd be a big risk.

We really need to stop signing injury prone players, might get away with it in lower leagues but not in championship

Yes certain players are out of our price range so get young ones up for job, sometimes it’s about intelligence (do we talk about this?) on the pitch which imo we’ve been lacking

Warne did try for Grant Ward, like flourbasher said, glad we didn't sign him, he
seems his past injuries are part & parcel, to how many games he would play.
Plus no room on the treatment table, Mattock has a season ticket for it, vacancy
during the summer period, when Mattock on holiday.

No I remember that, that was back in 2019. I think Paul Davis wrote about Brown at the end of the august transfer window, Warne was interested in him and Danny Ward but obviously neither happened.
