I wasn't going to bother, but just thought, go on then, a quid EW at 80/1 can't do any harm. It got backed in to 40/1 and won quite comfortably.

Biggest priced winner I've ever backed, previous one was Private Audition winning the Ceserawitch in 1987, I got 75/1 on the Tote. You've got to be patient if you want big priced winners on the gee-gees.
I'm not a professional like you sinkov. A few of us in the Park View were having the craic and I was in the mood. Not often I bet these days, but I ended up pocketing the thick end of £500.00. If "Clarets Glory" had lived up to his name, the return would have been even better!

Nice dinner on the way home too! Mrs BT asked me at lunchtime today, "when are we doing it again?". She meant betting & booze and not doing the nasty unfortunately.

Just on the other subject BT, our next manager, I really have no opinion, I don't care who it is. Our owners are the problem, this last weeks revival might have temporarily papered over the cracks, but the serious long term issues (Servicing the Debt, Wage and Transfer Budget, out of contract players) remain un-resolved, and I doubt our next manager, whoever he may be, will be able to resolve them either. He'll be like ear-rings on a pig, won't make any difference.

Two things mon ami, either Alan Pace is a f*ucking genius, or he is one lucky Mormon. If it's the former we will be fine, if it's the latter we will just have to roll the...

Problem is BT, the recent results have probably convinced Mr Pace that he actually is a genius. A man out of his depth, who doesn't know what he's doing, and he believes he's a genius, that's a lethal cocktail for any football club owner, lethal for the club that is.

IF we are still in the EPL in June I have a sneaky feeling he will sell up and f*ck off back to Utah, about $100 million richer. One of his UAE banking contacts is allegedly sounding Pacey out. Burnley to "Do a Newcastle?"

If only BT, I'd rather have the towel heads in than these potless clowns.

He inherited a playing squad in serious need of re-inforcements, he decided Cornet was all we needed, that was a blunder of epic proportions, a wrong decision. Although to be fair it was not really a decision in the accepted sense of the word, if you have no money and decide not to spend any, it's hardly a decision at all really is it.
