It sounds to me like you should perhaps call it a day? If you don't want to go and would rather do something else, what's the point?

However, the fact you have the choice on whether or not you continue to go and watch United is a very precious thing.
Mellon also had Shankland, an in form Fuchs and a keeper whose head wasn't all over the shop. He also didn't have to go through a cost cutting exercise losing 10 players mid season. I'm willing to give Tam the benefit of doubt here. He's identified the need for at least 6 signings in the summer, so to me, he has at least acknowledged our deficiencies. First season as a pro manager and we're sitting 4th with the possibility of Europe. We'd be pretty daft to get rid and jump back on the managerial merrygoround that is Scottish football. He rectified our poor defence in the last summer window. Let's see if he can do the same in the forward areas.

Isn’t Guardiola’s football, just reinvention of the Dutch total football model, which I think most admired and copied? It’s the ability to change tactics during the game, that appears to be the problem imho. No plan survives first contact.

It should also be added the points total Mellon had after 33 games would have been enough to take United in to the top 6 this season. The difference between this season and last season was 2 points. We have benefited from, other than Hearts, no other team outside the OF having any consistency. And you rightly pointed out we had Shankland last season. So very little difference between the 2 and I would stick Tam. The biggest error was bringing back McNulty who is a complete waste of space. I am not sure that was Tam's decision. The goal scoring issue is still to be sorted.

I'm not sure TC has much say in the transfer policy at all. He was asked about signings the other week on the radio and his answer suggested that.

Usually I got a lift over the turnstiles or on some occasions (notably the 5-0 Borussia Munchengladbach game) climbed over the wall and hid in the toilets. We will never see that beauty again unfortunately and today's fare pales miserably in comparison admittedly, but European football in his first season( if we get it obviously) with a poor and unbalanced squad has got to be worth giving the man some credit. Even if you haven't enjoyed the football mate, you at least still try to remain humerous and offer genuine insight. Craigbrew is just a tedious bore in my own honest opinion and is quick to get offensive too. I sincerely hope you change your mind on the season ticket mate as I know how much United mean to you, and I hope you will be rewarded with a better and more balanced squad next season that is a bit more bang for your buck.
ha ha good i am a bore now, and you say i am offensive, have a good look in the mirror, you change your tune more times than radio tay..

Baffling how Shankland is being brought into this when he wasnt even our top scorer last season, and as much as he is derided on here, TC is on record that he has not played that top scorer Clark in his favoured position this season, more than likely because he has had to play McNumpty when fit!

Is it to TCs credit that we cut 10 players? We got money for Shankland last summer, then Fuchs and Smith in January, but i would expect Asghar is the one to have dealt with that, and all the loan deals.

Not so sure he rectified our poor defence and more than likely landed lucky. Cant help but listen to stories that Mulgrew was inbound before Mellon departed and Mark Reynolds was coming to the end of his time anyway, and we just needed Connolly as far away as possible. Then there is the emergence of Freeman, Nielsen and Graham, and while TC has the remit of giving youth the chance, they have to be good enough to get that chance in the first place. Most disappointing thing now though is i think our best defender has played his last game for the club!

There was just a clear and apparent lack of commitment and ambition on the park yesterday, whether it comes form the dressing room, the management or board has to be sorted.

Take for example the ability to work and challenge. Sad as it is to say the entire workrate of the home team and actual intent and practice of making a challenge was apparent, ours was schecht and like schoolchildren who didnt want to scratch a knee.

Taking little C off and bring on the big F Clark was baffling. We all know what Clark cant do and again he impressed with his ability to show us what he cant do.

Also the quality of team spirit which we started to have before has simply disappeared (maybe someones wife is doing the whole changing room!).
For example at every decision by the ref there should be an organised multi fronting in the refs face, make every decision difficult. Some of the decisions were incredibly bad but every player (bar Watt on one occasion) simple accepted, apologised for and rolled over for. We must be the easiest team in the league to penalize.

Something has gone wrong and by next year it requires sorted.

Who'd be a football manger, eh? No credit for any good and all the credit for any bad. 🤔
