I think everyone to a man on here is shaking their heads at how bad McNumpty is. The basic fact is that last season we scored 32 league goals with Shankland, McNumpty and Clark scoring 18 of those. This season so far, we have scored 34 with Clark, McNumpty and Watt scoring only 9! So im sorry that im not fully getting the point you are trying to make or that im not giving TC credit, but many people have bemoaned the fact that, added to top scorers out of position, we do not get enough quality chances into the guys who are paid to put the ball in the net, and i dont think Shanks would have had any more chances to score than the others! The fantastic goals from others should be a celebrated bonus, not something to be relied on!

So with Shankland in the team, our strikers scored double the amount of goals our strikers have scored this season?

Creativity, width and a physical striker are all top of Tam's shopping list, so you're not far off. Also bang on with your second point. The fact we're missing bang average players like Harkes & Butcher proves how good you need to be to improve this team.

Erm, No! McNumpty would have still played and been just as pish if fit and it would have been either Clark or Shankland on 7 goals!

Clark and Shankland together has been proven to work at a lower level and im sure would have worked with better service.

Well if you take the 6 games without Harkes compared to the previous 6 with him, then yes, we've picked up less points and conceded more goals. We've also picked up less points in the 5 games without Butcher than the previous 5. I'm not sure what games you're watching if you think our midfield isn't missing them? Teams are ghosting past us. Look at the Fun at Tannadice. Hearts at Tannadice. Our midfield cut wide open in both games. I'm not saying they are good players, but we are missing them, because quite frankly Levitt is not a holding midfielder, Mcdonald is half the player he was and Meekison is simply not ready for this level of football.

Butcher is a big miss, solid player who has only got better with experience, would be hard to replace. Harkes energy is missed but being felt more because Butcher is out too. Midfield is weak with they 2 out and Fuchs gone. Liam Smith could have helped in there to replace Harkes energy which leads to a question...why hasn't Freeman played RB to allow that, weve even had niskanen RB instead of Freeman
