47 Years do you not think i am like, i have see it all the good the bad, the ugly and the eye bleeding, seems some on here are fine to criticize and others are not.. but hey ho eh.

Craig you are bang on with most of your questions and opinions but there are a few in here who will gang up on you because you dare to speak the truth.

If you dare to suggest we are mediocre (or worse) there are at least 3 posters who will argue we could be less mediocre if we had Harkes and Butcher in the team. Crazy logic.

It's f*cked up and to be absolutely honest this board has become f*cked up in its perverse defence of the current position based on how we are brilliantly more mediocre than the other teams. Who, by the way, will not f*ck up for much longer.

The head in the sand brigade have claimed this forum as their own. It's disappointing because I thought this board was open. It's not open any more. Questioning or dissenting voices will be drowned out. 4th place, get real . Get real. As GB says a second division Cypriot side would probably embarrass us.

And, by the way, I've watched all our games this season, every one, and we are absolutely sh1te. No clue. And I've been watching Dundee United FC since 1963.

Cheers buddy. I'm willing to go further, well maybe I'm not ready to come out (ooh err missus) but I have a few Spanish friends, some involved in football, some not. Ok, they've watched a few of our matches and the comments I would say could be summarised like this

Why does Freeman not play he is also a warrior for the team

Attendances are dropping. Atmosphere is disappearing.
The money for 4th place is great, but I'd rather see 8000 at Tannadice v Kilmarnock than 5500 v Famagusta in a two leg tie we lose.

Freeman, one of our most attacking, physically fit aggressive players capable of running at defences can't get a start.

Thank you for that , i mean big thank you, i have been told i am a really nasty person, that i am not, i was feeling guilty, people think i don't care, i fk do care i have loved united for a bloody long time, there was game v tarts must been 76, or 77, Jim Mac was manager i was just kid then, sure they stuffed us 3-0 sure it was long time ago so no 100% , we were in shed Maclean must go we were singing we were fk awful, it is the only time in my life i have ever sung and abused united, even now i am ashamed, but i was only 13 or 14, but still wrong. that was the ugly, we know the good , the great european nights they were the days , Kevin Galagher goal v barca on my birthday , they were the days, now is the eye bleeding, i do not even ask for a lot , loads shouting eueope here we come, 4th yippee, i could not give flying fk all.. i want to see us play half decent football, like we know what we are fk doing.. i will only say how i feel not going to lie to keep others happy.. thank you for that dade me feel i am still human, one guy said are you sure you are an arab..if we except **** they will keep delivering ****..

A heartfelt post Craig. I can't speak for the fans but I'm pretty sure I'm on solid ground when I say that fans want to be entertained with aggressive creative attacking football.
Where players can actually pass the ball to each other, move it forward and score a goal or two.
They dont want to go to Tannadice and see a boring defensive display and a 0-0 followed by posts on here saying maybe we could have done better but we're missing creative midfield maestros like Harkes and Butcher, what do you expect, Pirlo?

Tony Watt is a very intelligent player. He gets the ball and tries to make things happen - often succeeds

The win v Motherwell was down to him (before the split)

The pass that led to the last minute winner v St Mirren was him.

I agree with your assessment. And so does Gunboat. We bought a very good player in Watt but some fans are now turning on Watt.

Why? Because he has zero support.
As GB says we have taken two players in Shankland and Watt and made them fail. Not completely because there's still time for Tony Watt.

Watt's struggling and falling about more because he's desperate. He has no skill around him, no one making runs beyond him, no target man laying off to him. Our midfield is a disaster, has been for years.

We are a basket case, and we need to sort it.
We have a close season coming up, let's hope we do sort it.
