    That's nuts. Don't they average around 5k normally at home?

    That's the benefit of being a one-club town. Everyone who lives there will back the team and turn up at the big games. We, on the other hand, exist in a city where everyone is a Forest fan by default. There has to be some kind of special condition to be a Notts fan.

    They are close to Wembley but still, 28k is around the figure we took to the Brighton final for a place in the top flight when they were still non-league. This has to be a case of the entire town being whipped up by their local team's success, something we'll never be able to do at Notts unless Fword go bust or one or the other club moves to the other side of town and - over time - it becomes a matter of territorial pride rather than choosing the club with the more attractive fixture lists.

    Exactly. It's remarkable that we get as many fans as we do, considering the league we're in, how Forest are doing this season, and the close proximity of the two stadiums. I can't think of a single other club that has to deal with another club that's way bigger, better, and more popular literally a couple of hundred yards away.
