Joint 4th top goalscorer. Of course we could win the league with him.
Wootton is leaving to go and play in the EFL next season.
We are playing in the NL next season for one reason only, which is we concede too many goals.
Wootton will leave a huge hole that the club are going to do very well to fill, without spending a lot of money.

If Notts had lost the Championship play off semi-final tonight, you'd have doom and gloom posts claiming that it was our last ever chance for the PL and it's all down hill from here. but likewise if we'd just got relegated to tier 6 facing a 12 point deduction you'd have people telling us to shut up moaning because at least there's still a club to support.

Charlie and David Jackson mentioned tonight the lack of urgency at Notts to get promoted compared to other teams and I think that sums Notts up since the takeover and it won't change under this regime. No chance whatsoever we will win this league under the Reedtz bros., we'll only get out if we have luck over two or three games in the play offs but the more seasons you have at this level, the greater the chance you're going to have that one bad season where you're not even in the hunt for 7th place and when that season comes, I think they're done.

Concluding on a positive: We won't get relegated next season.

    Good night folks.

Not good enough in all areas of the pitch tonight. Wooton anonymous, midfield overran, too much tippy tally at the back. Second to every loose ball, I counted several times we passed back when a forward run and pass was on. Sorry but , finals, followed by semis followed by quarters. No progress, just sliding further into the abyss. Best thing that can happen is Burchnall goes now, the trying to be Man city in the local park league has failed.

It is never going to get us out of this league.

Genuinely think some people are content with Notts being a non league club forever, honestly think in about 5 years time they'll be looked on as a bit of a mythical club from yesteryear like Royal Engineers and New Brighton.

True, we are not equipped to get out of this league.

Can't help but think of the night we came within a knat's ******* of beating Forest at their place under Martin Allen and the team he had available to him that night. Each and every one of them to a man played above their level. Jude Sterling and Hamza Bencherif spring to mind.

This team could have been a team that challenged for a title but not under this coach. If we don't change the coach it'll be the same script next season.

I really hope Burch goes, FGR, Sweden, anywhere. He's a youth team coach, not a grizzled first team manager.
We've squandered two 20 goal strikers this season, never sorted midfield out, poor old JOB is at least two years past it, Francis offers little, Vincent has been bombed out and we've have had a soft centre at crunch moments all season.
For all the talk of passing football we ended up with Slocombe tonking it down the pitch after we'd run out of ideas and only Rodriguess first half header was a proper chance in two hours of football.
Seriously, could any supporter who thinks Burch is going to get us up explain to me what they see in him that I'm missing?

The sooner Burchnall goes and takes Brunt with him the better.
The team needs a complete overall starting with a new manager, one who can instill some fight into this lacklustre bunch of fancy Dan's.
