The only thing everybody is laughing at is NOTTS COUNTY - the once great club reduced to a laughing stock. Its getting to the stage now where other average teams in this division do not even fear us any more, because they know they have a good chance of beating us

I'm keen to read the answer to this one.

    Curiously......
Last season BT showed Notts live 7 times
This season BT have showed us live 4 times.

I don't think they appreciated being outed as Danish billionaires. They do things low key. I'm pretty sure Les Bradd once let slip on a podcast that of they wanted to, they could easily do a Stockport and Wrexham but they want to do it this way and fair play to them, it's a sustainable model

So we've supposedly got billionaires (BILLIONaires - think about that for a moment) who don't want to spend any of their own money, they just want to use the fans money to fund their hobby and are prepared to fail - season after season - under that self-imposed restriction.

Laughing stock to who? We were a laughing stock where our owner had got his c0ck out and then put us up for sale and then we got relegated, we were a laughing stock when we fell for a fake take over and other countless times we’ve been virtually bust. Now we’re a well ran club, we’re competing at the top end, yes we need to tweak a few things slightly but everything’s in place to be successful.

Sounds good, but the truth is that we are competing (and FAILING) at the top end of the NATIONAL LEAGUE FFS.

It’s alright pointing out the obvious Elite but what’s the answer? Find owners like Wrexham have? As I remember we had a couple of crooks, someone who probably didn’t exist and fortunately the Danes who have already invested millions.

An interesting insight into what intelligent managers deal with covers how Pep Guardiola has adapted his philosophies for Premier League football.

Maybe Burchnall may have some of that.

And maybe the Bros plan is first and foremost sustainability. Or do you want another Trew/Hardy or even Munto 5 year plan to the Championship and remind me where that got us.
I forgot the link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61470026 for Pep. I suggest you read it, gives a good insight into adapting to English football. As I said, we need to see if Burchnall has any of that.

There is a lot of sense to building solid foundations, in the club and on the pitch. On the pitch we've got a weak spine and hopefully all those in charge will realise it. For all the doom and gloom we were one stupid push from a youngster and 30s from getting into the next battle. Many would say Burchnall has made a good stab it his first full year in English football and the bigger question is whether or not he, and the bros, can push on. If they can't then we'll be looking over our shoulder at Tier 6. If we can then maybe it's going to be a case of steady rather than spectacular progression, more of a Sirrel and less or a Warnock.

Next season will be crucial in seeing where we are going.

We all know why we are down here, but every season two clubs (like Barrow and Harrogate) get promoted from this division. I keep reading a stream of excuses why we can't expect to be one of them.

Are we really setting the bar that low?
