I'd currently describe Parekh as not exactly a panacea .

However he's an upgrade on Lee and PMG although that's an extremely low bar .

As in Victor is a better striker than Dave Regis .

Arby my thoughts are that Parekh has stepped up for the right reasons and genuinely cares about the club and to a certain extent gets the town and it's fan base .

That doesn't mean of course he isn't capable of making poor decisions going forward .

The total analytics strategy still troubles me greatly , happy to talk about the hits but none too convincing on those that bombed tonight I thought .

I welcome some experience alongside the young lads but the young lads identified by analytics have to have talent too .

You could put Patrick Schmidt up top alongside David McGoldrick but that doesn't equate to anything unless Schmidt can cut the mustard .

There's still an air of successful business man equates to successful football club under his stewardship .

Ask Alan Sugar how that played out at Spurs for instance .

I sense some naivety with Parekh , I could be wrong , hopefully I am .

Deeds not words will cut it for me.

Im still on the fence but will watch events closely, starting with the managerial appointment.

Player recruitment will be interesting and the correct blend is required.

I don’t think yer being very kind there Animal.
There is a Massive difference between Neerav and Paul Conway.

Before the change in the boardroom - people were posting that the ideal combination would be a Neerav and James Cryne takeover.
Well amazingly that wish has now come true.

As with the £1 million shares investment - and Neeravs indication to buy other shares - then it bodes really well for the future.

What I gained from the Q&A session - other than the sound being poor and the session sometimes falling into a rabble caused by a few numpties - is that the club will be steered in a different direction.

Not everything will change - the things that have been proved to work will remain.
It all looks very very positive.
However there is a lot of sorting out to take place after last seasons debacle - so fans must expect to be patient.

    I believe I'm remaining balanced YN .

Just because someone smiles a lot with a Barnsley scarf round his neck for the entirety of last night's forum doesn't mean he's capable of making good decisions .

At this stage he's an upgrade on Lee and PMG as a PERSON who seems to have become a fan before he's an investor over the last four years .

My worry is the total faith in analytics and as I said earlier in this thread he was happy to trumpet the hits but swerved the misses and blamed that on going away from analytics .

That's not true what so ever , we only went away from it last summer , analytics still provided Schmidt , Thomas , Wilks , Diaby etc etc .

As much as I loath Conway he wasn't responsible for the above players bombing that I do know .

We haven't a round coin to waste this summer and it's to be hoped we find some talent .

Just watched it. Parekh came over as quite genuine to me. Some good questions asked too which were answered well by Parekh in a straightforward fashion. The right noises are coming out with no daft promises being made. As Parekh said himself and also happens to be the club motto- Judge us by our actions. We will mi owd.

On further reflection from last night's events I'd like point out that in reality three deck chairs have been removed and replaced by two others .

Whether these deck chairs reside on the Titanic remains to be seen .

We've now got an inexperienced Chairman and an inexperienced CEO with a number of mistakes already on his cv .

Compounded by having to negotiate one of the most important summer's in the club's history and without a pot to pyss in .

Now one or two may want to call that out as Negativity but whether we like it or not those are the facts .

A polite smiling new chairman doesn't change those facts one jot .

I have a solution because in my opinion we are crying out for some proper old fashioned football brains and competence .

Someone who is experienced , has connections at various levels of football and can forge a link between the HC and the Board .

An advisor on recruitment , a sounding board on tactics and every other footballing scenario that inevitably crop up .

Appoint a Director of Football and even better offer the role to Mick McCarthy .
