You're right, he *could* turn out to be the best manager the club could ask for, and of course it would be terse of me to suggest otherwise. But, I also know that any appointment such as this immediately becomes a massive gamble, and I'm not sure we are in the position to be taking risks as big as that.

I'll of course support him if he does arrive, but I'd also feel a lot less worried about the season to come if we didn't appoint another wildcard.

    I tend to agree.

I think now is the time to appoint a manager with good knowledge of the National League. If we did appoint an unknown quantity then as fans we should give them our support unless and until results suggest otherwise, but for my money this a moment to recruit the best manager we can from the clubs competing around us, like Luke Garrard, or in Williamson's case a title-winning manager bringing a team up to this level.

Probably wouldn't look too good. A defeat after a PO game, manager leaves, new one announced, All too quick & people pointing the finger that's why we lost the game, things going off behind the scenes, unsettling

If it’s the Danish guy who was just sacked from a team in the Faroe Islands after failing to win in seven games, this site will go into meltdown like a glacier in the Arctic Circle.

This next appointment is critical for them. They could start to feel the grief that comes with owning a club & the fans not liking it.
