Notts’ support largely comes from family ties and it’s very good for the level we’re at. That’s not going to change any time soon.

If we’re worried about them just getting all of the kids who don’t already have a parental tie to one of the clubs, then I’d focus on highlighting what we are that they aren’t. That is cheaper, more accessible, playing at 3pm on a Saturday as opposed to the random times they’ll now be playing etc etc
    I agree completely.

My suggestion is we make a real effort with new students to the universities. Not the half ars@d attempts in the past. I think you need to go to a few consecutive games to really get the feel of being a fan. So I suggest some type of ‘Welcome to Notts Offer’ where you get three consecutive match tickets for a tenner or something.

    Thoughts?
Stop tippy tappy and be an aggressive, fast, winning team.

    Easy! Let's do it.

Although we have been a winning team (at home) with tippy tappy maybe that's why the attendances have been so impressive. Just a guess

We had the 3rd best home record in the league and won 15 from 22 matches. We only lost 2 home games all season.

I can see why IB appeared to me to be a bit bemused in interviews with some of the criticism because some fans refer to our style of play in a derogatory way as "tippy tappy" yet it got us 50 points at Meadow Lane. So it did yield results even if it could be frustrating at times.

The new manager has got a high bar to aim for in that respect to get 50 points at home next season.

It's away from home where we need to be better.

As I've said on here a few times now, win games and score goals whatever level which we did, and people will come and watch which they did.

Looking at a quarter-full Family Stand every home game, wouldn't it be an idea to try and fill with family offers?
