    I think Smudge is a championship standard player all round and would thrive more with the right blend of players around him. Similar standard to Tree as an all round player but obv in different positions and with different qualities. Problem is whether his presence could cause us problems as we're pressed more in defence and revert to the long ball game as oppose to playing through midfield and to the wings where we've played our best togger this season

    Been told both Huddersfield and Sunderland are interested.

    Sunderland would be a big no no for him.

    Geordie fan 100% but a mega wage packet turns anyones head.

    Say we offer him 7k a week and Sunderland offer him 10k. Thats £156,000 more a year, times this by a 2 year contract and higher goal scoring bonuses and he's looking towards a possible £320k .......yeh he'll turn that down because he's a Geordie......err not.
