Congratulations Forest…. Your board looked forward in the appointments … ours were looking up there own a*ses
It did cross my mind a time or two while watching the playoff final - instead of all those departures after the 20/21 season - what would have happened if everyone had stayed at Barnsley and we had added just a couple more players ???

On the evidence of the playoffs and playoff final the Barnsley team of 20/21 would have done better in the playoffs this season (21/22) than they did during the previous season.
There wasn’t much to beat this season.

On the two penalty claims, which will be talked abart for years rarnd here--

--the first one, the Huddersfield player was his own worst enemy seeming to draw his foot up and round which led to no contact. He should have "done a Woodrow" and planted his leg into the defender's leg. No penalty in my opinion.

--the second one, a nailed on penalty with the defender mekkin clear contact to bring him down. Why that didn't go to VAR, or if it did it was a cursory glance, I cannot understand. Moss had made a clear and obvious error.

You could say that luck evens its self out, and Hudds had their share of it in beating Luton.
Notts Florist will be favourites to come straight back down of course, but it will be interesting to see if Cooper is up to it.
It was a shock at first seeing him leave the Play off runners up Swansea, but hes clearly joined a better team.

I think that Cooper tactically is very astute and an underrated manager. I think the scabs will survive.

He certainly had us worked out last season, with three wins and a draw in the four games gainst us.
Thats my biggest disappointment with Val to be honest, the apparent lack of a plan B when it mattered the most.
Just trying the same thing again and again and hoping it worked out, wasn't good enough. And it made Cooper look like a genius!.
