Well done NOTTS, - in particular the Reedtz Brothers who have delivered a genuine prospect, with impressive stats. Welcome to Meadow Lane Macaulay!!

Will never be enough for some of this lot.

Top signing this, let's hope he stays injury free and can deliver

On the face of it he is a decent signing. Time will tell whether we have a diamond or a piece of coal on our hands. He’s had one good season, and hopefully he kicks on from that.
I can’t wait for the first rumblings of ‘you buy National League North players, you get National League North performances’.

Looking at some clips of him on you tube he appears to be very quick and knows how to put the ball away BUT

He also looks as though he's a wide right player is he here to replace Roberts?

No, he's from Stockton-On-Tees. He is a good signing though. Could his Gateshead Manager be following him?

Could play Roberts on the left or even move this lad over there so like Cal he can cut in and get shots off.
We just need Shola Ameobi back and we can have an all North East front line

Chronicle Live (North East) are suggesting that a clause of 50k in the contract. So appears to be good business by Notts if he turns out to be as good as he appears.

New signing Macaulay Langstaff says he has the self-belief to carry his incredible 2021-22 campaign into his career at Meadow Lane.

The forward scored 32 goals for National League North title winners Gateshead last season, scooping the division’s Player of the Season award along the way.

And Langstaff is excited to prove he can continue his fine form at Notts.

“Last season shows that I can score plenty of goals and play well consistently,” he said. “I believe I’ll take that into the new campaign and continue improving in all areas of my game.

“I have to say a big thank you to the manager and his assistant at Gateshead, who were absolutely brilliant with me over the last two years and brought me on leaps and bounds.

“The major improvement was in my mentality – they gave me confidence and self-belief. Physically I improved, too, and tactically the club got the best out of me. They were the ingredients for my success.”

Langstaff has nothing but complimentary words for his former club.

“The last two years have been the most enjoyable I’ve ever had playing football,” he revealed.

“Leaving Gateshead is really tough – I’ve made friends for life there and I’m really close to the management staff and the people at the top of the club.

“It’s a brilliant club and I’m a Gateshead fan now – apart from when we play them next season, of course! I’m really rooting for them.”

On joining Notts, Langstaff added: “I’m absolutely buzzing to sign for such a big club.

“I came and visited recently for the very first time and, once I’d seen the facilities and spoken to people about the way they want to play, I realised it was somewhere that suits me down to the ground.

“There was interest from elsewhere but Notts stood out to me straightaway.

“Playing in front of big crowds really excites me. I like the idea of scoring in front of plenty of fans and impressing people.

“I can’t wait to get started.”

A video interview with Macauley will follow in pre-season.

And, after monitoring his progress for some time, we have paid an undisclosed fee to bring the red-hot striker to Meadow Lane on a three-year deal.

A statement from our board of directors reads: “Macaulay possesses great pace, excellent movement and, most importantly, a genuine goal threat.

“His ability to attack spaces behind opposition defences creates chances from nothing and he has the poise and finishing technique to score goals at any level.

“He joins us after an incredible season at Gateshead and we’re delighted to have him on board for the next three years.”

Encouraging that we can be signing promising players sans manager. ML certainly worth a punt. Well done.
