Doesn’t matter how anyone wants to butter it up, as a club we are piss poor at retaining any players. It’s the same old adage season in and out.

We get to a players last 12 months but, ‘’ we’ll talk to them in the New Year’’ A complete load of tosh where contract talks should happen way before that. I feel Paul Douglass’s Chief Exec along with the board, are very poor in player retention.

Completely agree with that Brin. The board has no plan at all,we have a manager who has imroved players and we are in a position to take full advantage BUT we are clueless because while ever we have such a low pay structure we will lose players. We were told that substatial funding would be available. If this was the case, we would have been able to keep Smith,so the "we have learnt from previos mistakes" is a load of .....

I'm guessing if we were able to pay 20K/week across the board we'd have no problem in player retention. We can't so we do it's as simple as that. If we increased ticket prices four or five fold we could probably do it but then we'd have a problem with fan retention.

CAM, thing is, we really don’t have to pay silly 20k wages like you say but, paying 6-10 for your best players is feasible and Stewart can’t see that.

Once again, it’s rabbits out of the hat time…..Steptoe and Son.

Which is why Paul Warne is such a perfect fit as manager. Sings from the company hymn sheet.
