The Tories really have the knack of shooting themselves in the foot.

Again it’s a power trip just like Judges that don’t retire but sadly many are out of touch!

I do care what’s going on in Ukraine though as otherwise it’s like saying what Hitler did - did not matter as it was not a U.K. problem! Let Putin take Ukraine he will march on and then someone else’s problem!
I don't think Putin will, the Donbass region was always part of Russia until 1991, it was called little Russia. He badly miscalculated the reaction of the Ukrainians and the world in general. Hitler was the last great conqueror, he had the best and biggest army and air force the world has ever seen. In the time the Russians have been attacking Ukraine, Germany conquered Norway, Denmark, Holland, Belgium and France.
If Putin attempted to encroach a Nato power he wouldn't conquer anything else.
I like to do a bit of research into countries and their histories, rather than reading news in billionaire owned papers who attempt to get public opinion on their side.
Of course in no way do I condone what he's doing, but if you were a Russian, and knowing how many times they have been invaded by the west you can see their point.
It's a bit like if Russia took over the Orkney and Shetland Islands, would you be happy with a communist giant on your doorstep?

Russia still thinks its an empire....and its not......not by a long shot......
Russia has nuclear weapons (probably degraded judging by the look at their current armaments) if it didn't have them...it would be a basket case......

Don't count them out. In the long run, Russia will be a great power. They have abundant resources, the largest population in Europe, have resisted the siren song of mass immigration, demographic replacement, and Davos-style globalism, and unlike people in the West seem chuffed to be Russians.

You’d fit in well over there. Have you thought about emigrating?

Not read a single newspaper for around 20 years Des - not one! I get my news from people who are in the forces as well as seeing the scenes in places like Bucha, Condone is a polite word for execution - civilians thrown in mass grounds - huge bombs targeted in civilian areas etc. Even if some had any sympathy for Donbas and the connections to Russia only a deluded individual who is retarded not be appalled at a man who is no better than Hitler for extermination of civilians. For Macron to say he should leave without being humiliated is simply pathetic.

Bullies win because of a lack of retaliation and good on Boris and the US for supplying long distance rockets. I hope some of the regiment that were in Bucha are targeted and blown to
    F uck!

Boris was wrong to have a few glasses of wine but hey - didn’t most people including Celebs and Golden Boy Grealish who tried very hard to
    Imitate Lee Hughes.

Putin is not content though on just the Donbas so he must be stopped. At least Johnson has the balls to stand up to him unlike some other EU countries who are more interested in their energy running dry.

I totally agree but let’s face it - almost all politicians are cheats and lie including Starmer which is why I don’t vote!

For me the focus must stay on stopping Putin which is why Ukraine are delighted Johnson is still in office as to be fair he’s done well! Imagine if we had a leader who was less inclined to stand up to Putin? Also Putin would have hoped Johnson would have lost 100% so the focus temporarily is off his atrocities which include execution of civilians and chucking them in shallow graves - that’s the lucky ones!

At the end of the day Johnson has got the majority so the remainers or old and bitter MP’S who should have retired gracefully should now get behind the government. Oh to be bitter and twisted at an old age - it could bring on a heart attack then like the Yanks say - it’s boxed up time 😭

    Your comparisons are absolutely wild.

Why would you compare our parliamentarians and Govt with celebs and footballers? Obviously a higher standard applies to those in power, that's why we have a ministerial code (which BJ, Patel and others have repeatedly broken) because they are more open to abuse their elevated power (which this Tory Govt have done repeatedly).

Why do you think our response to Ukraine would be any different with a different PM? I have no idea why people conflate the Ukraine conflict with law breaking and lying by the PM. Its just a convenient distraction for him. I think our response militarily has been good, but we absolutely allowed some Russian money to leave the country by responding so slowly to sanctions.

And BJ (amongst politicians across all parties, to be fair) has Russian links. There is a school of thought he has put a Russian asset into our House of Lords, against national security advice - why would you want someone like that running the country?
