I would be happy with Parkinson or Williamson tbh. I can see both bringing some extra bite to the team whilst still playing the right way. Also might mix it up when the game required it. I'm mildly optimistic about next season.
£5k a week is more than what the likes of Paul Mullin and Paddy Madden were reportedly earning at this level last season which was reportedly £3.5-4k. That's reportedly more than the average wage for league one and league two.
Why should our club pay players inflated wages for the level they are playing at in an attempt to gamble to get out of this league? All the money Wrexham spent, and Cheaterfurlough and it didn't work for them they start next season in the same league as us.
It only paid off for Stockport and Grimsby showed that you don't need the leagues most expensive players to get out. A bit of luck and lot's of determination, energy, hunger and desire with the blend of quality.
Burch might have been an animal in the dressing room for all we know, but I think it would be reasonable to assume that he wasn't.
On paper, Williamson looks a better option with his pedigree as a player and has won the 6th tier whereas Parkinson finished 5th, but Parkinson does have experience managing at this level which Williamson does not, albeit towards the lower end.
If there's anything to be read into the odds, Williamson may no longer be an option though, having either turned us down or was never a genuine target for the owners in the first place.
I might have posted this before, but if not, this is the finest dressing room team talk ever......

He might be still available btw![]()
Just seen Parkinson signed a full time 3 year contract in April or May, we’d have to pay compo for him then.
