Something he said after we knocked Napoli out of the Fairs cup, I'm not sure of the exact words.

I find this affair very sad, that a Jewish group has jumped on the virtue-signalling, cancel culture bandwagon surprises me, I would have thought they had far more serious matters to concern them, than re-naming a football stand in a small Lancashire town. That this is no more than bandwagon jumping is clearly illustrated by this article in the Grauniad 4 years ago,

    https://www.theguardian.com/football...ey-provocation

It shows that Bob could be a nasty piece of work, it mentions his remarks about Jews and his many other indiscretions, but nowhere does it ever suggest any need to rename the stand. But of course cancel culture was in it's infancy four years ago, now it's all the rage. I find it odd that a Jewish organisation, representing people who have had to survive numerous attempts to cancel them throughout history, would think it worthwhile attempting to erase the memory of a long dead, Lancastrian windbag, who made a stupid remark about Jews 50 years ago.

I honestly thought our Jewish community were serious people, who would be above getting themselves involved in infantile trivia like this.

Well spotted Chris, I've seen it twice now that he apologised, never knew that before. Bob was not one for backing down or apologising, so fair dos to him.
