Come on now. IB left because he got a better job offer - 2 divisions higher.

The previous untried manager at FGR has used his success at that club as a springboard to get the Watford job. A club recently relegated from the Premier League with all the advantages of wealthy owners and a massive parachute payment.

True it would put some off but we know the players identified will / should fit the style we want.

It will take time to truely see if it works but doing things the Trew/Hardy way was a failure too.

We went from Derry to Moniz now anyone who knows football can see that wasnt going to work without time.

We cant go from IB to a John Beck type not with this squad anyway.

As for people saying Reid turned us down good dont want him anyway.

I know you're very negative about the owners UTM, but I think you're wrong about the desperation.

If Shaun Derry has started to play attractive football then he'd be right in the bros' sweet spot - young coach, working with U23s etc.

If he hasn't and he still thinks football is a game where you try and keep a clean sheet first, then hoof the ball for Garry Thompson to chase, there is no way in a million years he would get the job.

My point was, if he doesn't like interference, why would he want the job?

The longer this drags on however, the more likely it is that the owners would have to make concessions, Derry might then come into the equation.

He's most likely as high as he is on the odds because he's not only an ex-manager but also "one of our own", the same reason Michael Johnson always gets placed on the tail end of the list despite him having no managerial experience in the top 7 tiers whatsoever.

I don't think any manager LIKES interference, that's pretty much a given.

We are speculating on the restrictions people think will be placed on the manager, speculating about the number of managers who have turned us down and for what reasons, and speculating about the desperation the owners feel because of this.

All we acrually know is that we've made two signings, one seems to be good and one very good, which address the lack of pace and movement.

We know we lost the manager a few days after the end of the season and we're all freaking out because we haven't made a stellar managerial appointment on 10th June.

For me personally, pre-season is a time for optimism. Plenty of time to pick things apart from August onwards if it doesn't go well.

They're signing players with no manager or even a caretaker in place.

You mean you want a week off keldsyke?

Baiting, including baiting your supposedly temporary stand-in moderator, is not exclusive to any single poster on here. I'd suggest growing a pair of balls might be something many a thin-skinned poster might try.

Yes they are that is the model that has been explained several times.

This is not unique to us plenty of clubs use this method.

I agree with this way of doing things I said it years ago some like the old school way.

The old school way has got us to NL level which cannot be blamed on our owners.

Not at all, unfortunately you go missing at times when things should be sorted but I guess as a member of the 'non attending I think I know what is happening at the ground club' you need your side kick, but I guess that is to be expected. I'd suggest growing a pair of balls might be something many a thin-skinned moderater might try. :-), or just let the board go into decline even more :-), your choice :-)

Yes, I'm not the one disputing this, which is why I'm suggesting Derry probably won't be interested seeing that he complained about the restrictions placed upon him by AT and Bramston's transfer panel.

What about the clubs not going down this route who haven't dropped into the NL. Or are we back yet again to only being allowed to compare the current owners with the two biggest disasters at Notts to justify their lack of progress.
