Would you rather we protest by not attending and watch the Club go under?

There's a time and place for protests. The full time appointment of Kiwomya was one of them but the supporters who knew that it was a terrible idea destined to end in disaster got shouted down by the nodding dogs. For that reason the Trews must have thought they could get away with something similar in Fullarton.

Hardy absolutely deserved to see a major protest but the fact that we were still in with a chance of staying up until the final day meant there was no opportunity for one without potentially effecting the performance of the players and losing a crucial 3 points.

Social media does play a big part, the current owners will be aware of the general mood. They might be able to resist the temptation to read any of it but somebody will be making them aware of it and they are basically being given a green light to carry on as they are, no pressure, take your time lads, we're so grateful you're not Alan Hardy etc.

Reminds me of something Malcolm McLaren once said on one of those utterly pointless TV shows doing a top 100 albums of all time, inevitably peppered with whatever happened to have been popular for 6 months around the time of the vote. Steps were voted fairly highly up and McLaren was asked for his reaction, he just shrugged and said "The public get what they deserve."
    That probably applies to Notts.

Everyone knows that a large chunk of this league is PART-TIME. Maybe you never go the other grounds.

And you don't spend nigh on half a century following a club, enormous amounts of time and financial investment to be accused of being against the club

OK, you got mad cos I called you out on stating the bleedin' obvious but keep it in bounds

But it's not part time? Maybe 2 or 3 Clubs are?

How many years you've followed the Club is irrelevant

    From BBC North Yorkshire Sport...

"We can confirm that #ycfc manager John Askey has not been approached about the Notts County job. If he was, he would tell them he’s not interested.|"

You might as well have said "what's the point in ever attending a game?" Let me enlighten you matt, it's because we fu*king care.

You accept mediocrity if you want to, but it's not for me.

The job hasn't been offered to anyone, only tentative enquiries have been made, but no formal offers.

The fans role is more than just turn up on the day and cheer. We should not just sit on the sidelines. The club may not belong to us but it is our club.. We will be here long after the brothers are gone and so have a right ( yes right ) to expect and demand signs of ambition. Lack of money or ambition can kill a club.

We should be targeting top spot because that is the only guaranteed way out of this league and I want to hear our owners say that. And see some progress towards it.

The alternative will be a long term drift to mediocrity and irrelevance, especially with Forest 4 tiers above us.

I seem to recall the club statement issued on the day of Burchnall's departure that they had always realised that it might happen some day. As such they must have had a plan and we really ought now to be seeing some sign of what it is. I know it is only 2 weeks but if we've not heard anything after 3 I will be getting really worried.

My view for what it is worth is that the new man must have a proven record of success. Anything less is hope rather than that ambition.

That's what I'm repeatedly hearing. Things along the lines of "Alan Hardy showed his little dick on social media, so how could we possibly expect our manager and players to do the business on the pitch?" It's becoming really boring from the happy clappers.

Sorry to contradict you but THE VAST MAJORIRTY OF THIS LEAGUE IS FULL TIME.

Currently only Wealdstone, newly promoted Dorking and possibly Maidstone Utd are part time, (Altrincham are going full time this coming season).

Statements like the one you have made only compoud the misunderstanding that the National League is a "tinpot league" when in fact it is the 5th tier of English footbal, distinguished only from the fourth tier of the EFL by the fact that it has only one automatic promotion place.

There is a core of ex-EFL clubs in the National Legue that have significantly more money and potential support than many clubs in the fourth tier of the EFL.
