From what I can find out, seems it's either Tisdale or Luke Williams. Only Williams has actually managed/coached a men's Pro 1st team, but has had a few jobs as an assistant manager. While Tisdale has never coached beyond U23's. So you can bet your bottom Dollar it's Tisdale. A couple of players have signed, but no big reveal cos of the reaction they got from the fans when we announced signings WITHOUT having a manager in place. Prob will be announced today or tomoz.

Tisdale would be a gamble. I have no doubt he's a talented coach, but he has zero experience managing a senior team and the pressure/responsibility that comes with that. If they go for him, it really shows how much faith they have in their process and philosophy. It sometimes feels like this club is the subject of a massive experiment. Hopefully, it all works out well in the end, but this being Notts - well, you know.

Nearly right about Tisdale's lack of first team coaching /management experience BUT he did actually stand in for Mark Robins, when Robins had Covid: matches against Hull, Wgan & Peterborugh

Williams would be a very Reedtz appointment, I think it’ll be him. Had a rep as one of the best coaches in the country for about a decade and been credited with being central to successful ‘footballing’ teams while assistant at Swindon, MK Dons and Swansea. A risk though because his one foray into management didn’t go well at Swindon, although I believe they had a dodgy owner who brought Tim Sherwood as Director of Football who kept undermining him, so maybe not the easiest job to judge someone on.

The fans on the whole I imagine won’t be happy initially with a rookie but who else out there is there? Probably the best experienced/successful and possibly would come is Kenny Jacket and that says it all about what’s currently available.

Its a coach that we are looking for, not a a manager.

I know Durham but it shows even IF u include managers it’s slim pickings at best. I wouldn’t even say classing it as a head coach will put everyone off, a lot of managers are good coaches too, even Pep won’t spend that much time on the recruitment, it’s getting more club run nowadays than manager run.

Whenever we go into this cycle of new manager we always have the same old names being mentioned. Amazes me how many times we’re tied with whoever every time.

Last time the owners went total left field and no one at all suspected Burchnall.
Not doing the whole Burchnall argument again, but ultimately we haven’t gained promotion with him so can’t been deemed a success imo.
Will that be enough for the brothers to turn to a more traditional Notts appointment? Not a chance.
As Cher said, a bit of pragmatism would help, but can’t see it.
It’ll be someone like Tisdale who, before two weeks ago, no one had heard of at all.
Let’s hope whoever it is, the ultimate judgement of success being promotion, is successful.

But please cut some of the tippy tappy rubbish out until we’re challenging at the top of the Premiership!

Following on from the historic Burchnall Bandwagon, I'm considering starting a Williamson Wheelbarrow.
