    Hankerchiefs

We were having Sunday lunch and an old chap walked past our table blowing his nose into a cotton hankerchief quite loudly - looked at it afterwards - then folded it into his pocket! Dirty t wat! Is it just me or why does it make me cringe when old chaps have these sort of hankerchiefs which should have gone out with Noah's Arc. You don't see women having them or the younger generation FFS!

I get a bad cold or pollen but surely in the year 2022 a paper tissue or loo roll in your pocket is suffice and then once you blow your nose it's thrown away.

These hankerchiefs though to me are disgusting and no better than dirty t wats who don't wash their hands when going to the loo, or walk to the toilets on a plane in their socks!

Totally agree Al, I haven't seen a snot rag for decades, how unlucky you were eating when one turned up.

I'll have a hankie in my blazer top pocket for Ascot today. Match it to the colour of my slacks.😉😎 Just off for a full English before getting on the train

Haven't eaten a full English for ages but if I'd had one this morning the thought of seeing someone in a slacks and snot rag combo would have seen me part with it sharpish 🤣 . Enjoy Ascot 😉 .

I'm happy for you to think a slacks and snot rag combo is a good look. I'd be equally happy not to clap eyes on you wearing a slacks and snot rag having had a full English beforehand 😊 .

Full English means heart attack and everyone to their own but my mother in law is 73 but dresses like a fifty year old and therefore looks in her fifties! It’s 2022!

If guys wear brown cords they are wrestling with Noah’s Arc and the dinosaurs 🦖

I love cricket but the pomposity of the “members” dress code and the whole blazer, slacks and tie thing is just ludicrous now.

It’s part of a class system that should have been consigned to history by now, it reeks of superiority.

I’m 60 but wear shorts and tee shirts and hoodies most of the year, I don’t even wear jeans anymore, I traded them in for Ralph Lauren smart comfy joggers last winter.

I want to be put in my coffin in shorts and tee shirt with my hair ruffled up as usual.
