If i remember corectly i am sure it was you , who said that you would never watch Notts whilst Nolan remained, well we are so much better now are,nt we ???
Barring the fact we were swindled in the play offs by horrific referee decisions , actually some of the worst i have ever seen , how is any of that nolans fault ??
Well done you got what you wanted, and now we have Notts as the worst we have ever seen , we are in non league, playing silly tippy tappy football, that looks attractive until it gets to the final 1/3 off the pitch at either end , and outwitted by pub teams such as eastleigh, aldershot etc
Oh come on Davy, you are in no position to throw stones in that regard.
In terms of it being or not being Nolan's fault maybe read some of the recent messages on this subject in this thread and their are some big clues as to why (allegedly) some of it may have been Nolan's fault. Hic. Instead of 100% Ardley's fault as someone else stated time and time again when his view was clouded
Back to last season:
As for the final thirds, the defensive one was an issue all season without a doubt , 52 goals was far too many. But the attacking third we didn't struggle at all we scored 81 goals with only 3 sides scoring more than we did and it was commonly reported how we created but spurned a whole host of chances.
The odds have disappeared from BetVictor again.
Williams
Luke Williams has been appointed as on OS
We have appointed Luke Williams as our new head coach.
Williams, 41, who arrives alongside assistant Ryan Harley, was previously head coach at Swindon Town and, most recently, assistant head coach to Russell Martin at Swansea City.
And our board of directors feel he is the perfect man to take us forward.
A statement reads: “We’re delighted that Luke and Ryan have joined us as our new head coach and assistant head coach.
“Between them they have the right management skills and experience of all EFL divisions, as well as the National League, which we believe will help us achieve our goal of promotion and getting back to where we feel we belong.
“Luke's values and playing principles are aligned with our own and we feel the continuity and consistency this brings will be a huge factor in ensuring a smooth transition to his leadership.
“We have been very impressed not only with Luke’s general character, but also his excitement about this opportunity and his fierce determination to succeed.
“He fully understands the pressure and expectation that comes with this role and we can see he’s ready to take on the challenge.
“Luke has already met with our recruitment team to discuss our current squad and ongoing transfer targets and we look forward to working closely with him to build a team which will give us the best possible chance of earning the promotion we all crave in 2022-23.”
