I have said for the lst 3 years, we need somebody with experience, who also has a no nonsense type of approach, still probably not the kind of manager the owners want, think they want a nodding dog kind of manager, one with limited experience who will do as they are told
I didnt think much when IB was appointed, and i feel the same now with LW, my prediction more of the same bull, no series title challenge, and a struggle for top 3 , and i thought the owners would learn, how many times will it take ??

Still like i said LW is here now, so best of luck to him, and lets give him a fair crack over the season, unless we are in the bottom half for long

I'm with you optipez...When I first heard, looked him up and must admit I'm right perplexed...But then again what do I know...I'll keep everything crossed, we are Notts County we are used to failure...

Me as well, a little bit underwhelmed. But hey, lets give the bloke a chance, see where it takes us. Not much else we can do!

    Put a name to it?

And then what if that person isn't available?

Who then? If we are saying recent promotion from this league or L2 in say the last 3 years I doubt any are available or will come.

I think someone suggested Jon Dahl Tommason at some point who's just taken over at Blackburn. We're not the draw we once were so this is about how good we could get now. This is why we need to get up a few levels again before we'll be able to attract a manager all would be happy with.

We have nothing to offer a manager/coach of that calibre. The Bros will always sway towards potential (less ££££ demands).

Well basically ur going for a manager who’s sole interest is probably money. The only one I can think of is Challinor, who tbf had a connection to Stockport but how often across the leagues do you see a manager get a promotion and then drop a league or 2 ?????
