Well, complete surprise again! Although I like the fact that Williams seems to have more of an edge to him than IB, plus his assistant sounds handy at this level.
Good luck to them both, and roll on August!

The guy is the Head coach NOT the manager, he will be given the tools to work with. He cant be be blamed for failure if the player he is given are not up to the job...We just need to get behind him and give him the confidence going into the new season.. All of this rubbish about him being not up to it , the guy is a very experienced coach, more so than the PE teacher..

Definitely meh. Just have to wait and see how it goes but not an inspirational appointment to get the juices flowing.

The brothers would never ever consider him. Although given a proper budget to work with in the EFL and the ability to retain players I reckon he would do ok. I think he would be a very good call for Wrexham. That Parkinson is a donkey.

Why the **** would he come here? Just asking.

People realise folk like G Johnson was 41 before, with little experience? He’s had success and failures.
Ironically, at the age of 41ish he became manager at Yeovil Town. Prior to that he had managed at Cambridge and Kettering with limited success. Look how his time at Yeovil turned out… took them up in his 2nd season. So actually, the blueprint is there for the new guy to take us back to glory and mirror your suggestion's career.
