I'd say recruitment key to success in the modern game with player turn over, not like you can make long term plans or long term coach over 5-10 year period to improve players and hone systems to extent previous. Back in the day you could have looked at Kerr Smith and Lewis Neilson and been planning your future team around that centre half pairing, not now. Everything I've heard in past suggests to me it is a recruitment collaboration process involving manager and recruitment staff. Sure manager will still be able to go to board if he has specific players he wants. For all that, I am slightly surprised given we have this system in place and know areas we lack in, that we haven't at least made a couple of signings so far, I'd have thought there were perhaps some long term targets who'd have been released and we were waiting/watching.

There was a 10 point thread put up on this very forum, literally an hour after Pressleys media slaver. There's since been a fair few disgruntled posts from posters on the back of it. It's caused concern among fans. There's no doubt about that.

I try to look at it from a footballing perspective as much as possible ie what's happening on the park, players etc etc

And 6 weeks today our team bus rolls up outside Rugby Park.

Had a look at those 10 points in that thread, meh. Could have whittled it down to 2

I’m not too fussed either way if he comes, I’m sure he will do a decent job if he gets the players, but if he couldn’t get a tune out of hibs with their attacking talent, and that when they Had Boyle, then he isn’t going to turn our attack around. Ideally he comes in Monday and we can actually start getting on with the surgery this squad needs.

This is the second time I've seen something like this said about his time at Hibs. They had the best scoring record outside of the OF in both his seasons there. Even his first season in charge when they finished bottom six, they had a better scoring record than anyone in the top six.
