Valid points but I guess my argument is that their conditions aren't as bad as they are sometimes made out. Plenty other folk would kill for that job. I was watching a thing about the new crossrail project and they had 20,000 applicants for their train drivers jobs.

My mate was one of the lucky applicants who got one of the ScotRail drivers jobs advertised a few years back. He chucked it. The conditions drivers work under are horrendous. Apparently no matter how old they are, they can tell you in the exact number of days when they’re due to retire.
