Yeah, Jaros was a weird signing. I could understand Patterson as we just had Brooks available at the time and then he excelled but Slocombe was done dirty with the Jaros signing. He's a decent keeper, and will certainly help bring on Brooks if he has the potential to fit in as a future number 1

I rate Slocombe but he had a very iffy start to the season. Patterson came in due to injury and was a cut above which probably made Slocombe look even worse. I don’t think Jaros was a panic buy as such as I’m sure he’s got potential. But he wasn’t anywhere near the standard of Patterson with his feet and I don’t think he was at the standard of Slocombe with his hands.
I won’t be disappointed if Slocombe is between the sticks next season but I’ll also be buzzing if we were to get someone on the level of Patterson.

He did, I agree, but I reckon that was because he was being asked to play the role of sweeper keeper. He took his eye of the ball to get up to speed with being a midfielder as is the tradition nowadays and it upset his day to day job as a goalkeeper.

I know there was interest in him from Notts previous season, I would have had him last season but not sure he fits the bill now though. Good player though and should get a good move.
