Rumours of the Hawthorns being sold by Lai

Don't know how accurate it is, but rumours going around on twitter that Lai could be selling the ground.

    First the loan, now this.

    We're the next direby.

Lai will sell the ground to another of his w anky companies and load the football club full of debt which will be wiped off once it goes bust - but the ground is protected! The rules are completely w ank in that Norris of Derby or someone else can protect their main asset ie football ground/building of business through a separate company so protected when the business goes bust!

Boris Becker was jailed which was outrageous especially as the sentence was the same as some rapists - some could say he was not as clever as knobs like Mel Norris or people like Lai! Easy to jump on someone like Becker but not thieves like Amazon/large companies who are circled with expensive accountants and lawyers!

If this is the case it’s tantamount to setting up a fraud in plain sight.

This is the most worrying news in my 50 years as an Albion supporter if true.

The fact he needed to borrow £5m from us shows his essentially a pot less p Rick who borrowed to buy us when Chinese loans were very cheap, but now he cannot service the debt because prem money has gone.

These are very worrying times and you only have to look at blose to see another club who sold their ground and now have shysters like Bassini circling them.

It does look like he has given up on promotion and explains last summer's no transfer fees policy, which is being replicated this season.

Gourlay is just here to placate us with comments like "I am convinced he will repay the £5m in December".

This also probably means that we cannot afford to sack Bruce if his s hitness continues from last season.

There’s nothing on any site that I can find about Lai selling the ground, so I am hoping that it is a rumour without foundation. Sadly, it wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out to be true.

Please listen to the latest liquidator podcast! Lepkowski and Goldberg have Football finance expert Kieran Maguire on to talk about the clubs accounts! Really concerning, to break it down a bit Lai borrowed 4.9 million, a 2.0 debenture (effective mortgage) against the hawthorns and still owes the 5.0 million load passed on by peace, so a total of 12m has been borrowed from the club, by my reckoning and it’s via a very optimistic 120m valuation of the club we have lost 10% in value, not withstanding the outrage that we are being used as a cheap overdraft facility!
Seriously Lai must go now we are on the slippery slope to becoming a Derby..

Thanks for the podcast reference-certainly worrying but, short of a buyer with both money and the clubs interests at heart miraculously appearing, how can we avoid the slippery slope we seem to have already embarked on under Lai?

Lai has seriously overpaid and he is on course to asset strip anything and everything- parachute payments , the ground, players if any can be sold. He wants out and will just keep draining the club til his loss is acceptable to him. That may take years and the football can end up wherever it does- he doesn't care- he just wants out and why should he care tbh- he has had dog's abuse from the fans from almost day 1.

Lai is a fool Peace is the only culprit

I said on west Brom .com that Peace was asking far too much for us and it would be our downfall in the long run, but I was shouted down by the know-all Peace lovers on there.
I also had a post removed when I put, I feel sick, on the appointment of Darren Moore.
I often wish I was wrong more often.

What the fk are you on about ?

He's been to our games about 3 or 4 times and and he wasn't abused at any of them.

Do you really think us abusing the pot less p Rick on here irks him?

J c??? P found us the biggest bag of s h it owner he could find that would line his pockets with £200m.
