    Sunset on the horizon

It doesn't seem long since me and my wife celebrated my 50th at the Black Country Museum.
That was 17 years ago, the year of the great escape. Twenty year olds wouldn't remember that game, they would only be three.
Every day the sun goes down and one day we won't see it rise again, we will be gone forever. All of man's struggles are in vain, death awaits us all.
Every day that goes the odds of us dying shorten.
People value things like jewellery and money but leave it all behind. You don't own anything, not even your body, it's all just leasehold.
Anyway I'm off to the pub later because I won't be able to go when I'm Mr Clampitt.
Have a good evening folk's and don't worry about things, the end has already been written.

I’ve been very aware of my own mortality since I was a young lad.

I’ve always thought about death and not being here, there’s been days in recent years when that’s felt like the better option.

    Thankfully not at this moment.

    I sometimes look at t e e n a g e r s and those in their 20’s acting like t w a t s and cheers myself that 100 years from now they’ll all be as dead as me!

Look both ways when coming home from the pub! A Big Bang could be a lorry then another bang would be the lid being enclosed and screwed down 😍

There are a lot of ghouls on them TV ads at the moment. Many actors in the cremation TV ads appear very happy almost euphoric that their funeral arrangements have all been done and sorted with the CO-OP or cremations direct. Anybody sorted theirs yet?

I remember my old man used to say "they can flush me down the toilet when im gone" But he did get a plot sorted. Ive left this sorting plots out to the wife. Sometimes I get an attack of dread and anxiety in the dead of night when I think about it.
