My judgement is that we have a few more weeks yet, maybe even a month or two. He will go thats certain, but not necessarily soon.
His position is untenable now, Swale. The nightmare is ending...depending upon his replacement of course.

Johnson is the ultimate greased piglet, his days might be numbered but I wouldn't be so sure that he will go quietly or soon>

As for the nightmare being over, in case you hadn't noticed, the Tories are still in power and have another 2 years to do untold damage and more importantly be able to find a new leader who will, with the aid of the right wing media be able to say we have sorted the issue and are now giving you voters some nice bribes, I mean tax cuts!!

So I fear the nightmare might just be getting worse.

I don’t for one moment expect him to go quietly. Anything but...kicking and sguealing and shredding that wallpaper with his fingernails I’d imagine.

Beyond that...you’re right...the ‘nightmare’ is only over in terms of it being the end of Johnson...but it’s a start and maybe the more decent and responsible Tories will be able to wrestle back control of their Party from the rabid Right.
