I thought we lived in a democratic society!!!

Well after the recent confidence vote if the 1922 committee change the confidence rulings to strategically get Johnson out - this will be as undemocratic as you can get!! F uckin disgusting in fact!

Don’t get me wrong - I am no fan of Johnson and don’t even vote as pointless in my area with a Tory landslide.

Be careful what you wish for!! Starmer will be on the second sentence of improvements for the cost of living after his book on the cheese and wine parties!

I'm not sure anyone could possibly be worse than what we have at the moment, the no confidence vote a few weeks ago shows how stupid Tory politicians are they called a vote they were never going to win and now are on about having to change the rules to try and get rid of Boris because he refuses to go.

Why should he go as up to him and not some bitching disloyal colleagues! The 1922 committee will be on dodgy ground if they change the rules - many thought we lived in a democratic society but clearly not!

Perhaps another vote on Brexit if the committee change the rules!!!

Are you suggesting there should be no way of ousting Boris for another year? We have seen scandal after scandal, with new fresh scandals coming out after the no confidence vote.

This is quite a unique situation. Most in Boris' shoes would look at the situation and feel they aren't right to lead the country. He's lost his cabinet, the party and the nation but still leads on. It's extremely damaging having him in power, both internationally and internally. He only leads on because he wants to, not because it's right. How do you fix that?

I’m not condoning what’s gone on and certainly no fan. You can’t change the rules of the confidence vote just after a vote he won to get rid of him - that’s not democratic!

On Brexit ( another post ) about his bull s hit - well that’s rich! The vote went the Brexit way let’s be honest because with the help of Farage illegal immigration was on many voters minds.

Illegal immigration is now worse with record numbers entering! I would put money on it - if there was another Brexit vote now then the majority vote would be to stay in the EU!

So changing the committee rules now to get rid of Johnson would be as undemocratic as having another vote on Brexit!

Let’s face it - many of those who resigned are back stabbing, bitchy and like sheep!

I don’t vote but saying as I see it! Johnson has a record mandate from the public and who is to say it’s changed massively? That’s my point!

There are bigger clowns like the haggis in Scotland - Lib Dems - no creative brain Starmer and then look at other leaders in the EU like Macron! At least Johnson has had the balls to help stand up to Putin and help Ukraine!

I was a Boris fan and a Brexit fan.

If I’m being totally honest, although Brexit has been good for me in a business sense I would make a different decision if offered the chance again.

Immigration was the thing that most bothered me, the illegals NOT the genuine who wanted to work and build a future here.

We’ve ended up excluding the “workers” we relied on to do ***** low skilled work and many in pay grades above whilst failing miserably to stop the illegals.

This will astound many on here including 123 but I think a new political party is required.

If any of the more charismatic politicians of whatever political persuasion had the balls to to start a true middle of the road party to appeal to the many sensible Tory and Labour MP’s and they formed a brand new party with the present Lib Dem’s they would absolutely walk a general election.

It needs a party devoid of the Tory loony section and the rabid Left of Labour and the sandal wearing, yoghurt knitting Libs

A proper centre just to the slightest of Left who appreciate business, have a true social conscience and who are brave enough to stand on a platform of rejoining the EU.

I’ve realised in recent months, due to personal issues, I’ve been far too dogmatic during my life and spent too much time thinking I’m right and wedding myself to a position even if I know in my heart I’m actually wrong.

I was wrong about Boris and I was wrong about Brexit despite my personal business success since Brexit.

For many people and many businesses it was a disaster.

I may have to vote Lib Dem next time around but I’d rather be voting for a new party.

If I’m honest the only person I could vote for under Labour is Andy Burnham as I like and respect the guy.

I just wish that he or someone of his ilk would try to rally everyone under a new flag.

Just listen and watch some of her interviews and statements. She has been embarrassed by journalists not even known to give politicians a hard time, that’s before an Andrew Neil would get hold of her.

Starmer would run rings around her, I think most Tories know that too so I can’t imagine she’ll get the gig.
