Yes it is strange about Cornet. He came to play against the best, and did well. Must be clubs that want to sign him. Does he belive we will bounce right back? Or does he love Mr. Pace so much he does'nt want to part with him just yet?![]()
He lives in Manchester and we keep signing people from Man City.He gets a lift back & fore to training. What's not to like![]()
Cornet will go, clubs are playing the long game... many weeks left. would expect Cornet, McNeal, Taylor Brownhil all to go by the end of the window..
- Buying youth is good for a long term rebuild, not a fan of loaning tbh
- I would like to buy a few more established Championship players age 23 -26
Charlie is being linked with a move to West Spam.
Hennessey just left.
So has:
- Collins
- Weghorst
- Pieters
- Pope
- Dale
- Mee
- Tarky
- Bardsley
- Lennon
if Taylor, Cornet, McNeil and Brownhill also leave we are left with 6 players if I'm not wrong. That is not enough to hold on to a club culture. They'll have to start from scratch. Not a good idea in my opinion.
It certainly appear to be that our American owners are "Asset Stripping".
It may be that we could be in for another relegation dog fight, but I do hope not. I was rather hoping that we may be challenging for promotion,
Appointing Vincent Kompany as our manager made me think we were starting to show some ambition but unless these sales have been at Vincent's instigation it would appear he is already having the rug pulled from under him.
I find myself in the unusual position here of defending ALK and Mr Pace. He stated quite clearly in the last Annual Statement that, in the event of relegation, we would have to address our reduced turnover by selling players and reducing the wage bill. Which is what's happening, he's doing exactly what needs to be done, as he said he would.
There's a long list of players who have left, but we've also brought half a dozen or so replacements in haven't we ? I cannot see Vinni being particularly unhappy at this stage, I would think it's proceeding exactly as he thought it would.
