I'm just going on comments made by JR last week with regards team shape & selection for Sunderland & Fleetwood being more geared towards the 30th than previous pre-season matches.

Our course but he'll have learned a lot from that match and it's still a couple of weeks before or first competitive match.

Hard to judge without Levitt and Fletcher in the team. We were clearly not brave enough when we did get any chances and are screaming out for a goalscorer in the mould of Billy Dodds or Noel Hunt. (and I don't think that Shankland would fit that remit) Nicky Clark shows flashes of it but is consistently inconsistent.
Cudjoe looks like he could blossom into some player as well.
I don't think we are a million miles away from being fixed but the missing pieces are so important.
I would imagine that yesterdays performance will only have proven JR right with his assessment that we need more player in, which could be a good thing for us in the long run. If we sneaked a win...it would have been easy to say that we don't need the players we are looking for.

Hopefully yesterday was enough to convince the manager we need alot more in an attacking sense. Need a few in, id take Tifony from Partick as a start.

It will not surprise me if the season is a few games in before we conclude our transfer business.

We're not the type of club that can exert any financial muscle in terms of salaries. So to get the better players that will raise the overall 1st team strength we may have to wait as we are operating well down the food chain.

Seeing some negative comments about Eriksson. I thought he was decent on debut. He had 3 good saves, commanded the box & looked the part. Forget the own goal, he appears to like an advanced role when we've got the ball! Charlie & he will get it together.
