Thread: The road to Prague

Pretty good draw, especially if it's in the Netherlands. Easy to get to (I used to work in Den Haag for a while and it's an easy country to get around).

In terms of difficulty we always get the worst draw!

Since the MyPa debacle we’ve drawn Slask Broclaw (won the polish league that season) Dynamo Moscow, AEK Athens and now AZ.

    I hate seeding!

Definitely, we never get a favourable draw these days.. We did well against, Aek and Slask (should have went through the latter), dynamo was good at home but dire away

Just need to give it our all, enjoy the games, create a big atmosphere at home and try and qualify again make it consistent then you will get easier draws that the likes of Aberdeen have got regular

I don’t want to be negative but I just don’t hold out much hope of us progressing, in part because we seem to be behind in our preparation to build a squad/team, and secondly our record in Europe and Scottish teams in general outside the big spenders Celtic and Rangers in Europe is horrendous past 30 years. That’s just the reality.

I really don’t want European qualification just to be written of as a jolly, to me that’s like celebrating getting to cup finals. Sorry again for negativity, maybe few attacking signings might convince me otherwise but just not seeing it at the moment.

I remember staying in Amsterdam when we played Vittese Arnhem in a friendly in 2015. They tore us apart that night 4-0. At the end of the day these teams are just miles better in everything they do so sadly I don't think we have any chance of progressing so might as well have a good time while we're there. Let's also hope we are still in it for the 2nd leg.

Too big a gap I'm afraid. Celtic scraped through against them in the Europa league play off round last season. They had Celtic totally on the ropes in 2nd leg and unlucky not to got through. They played a frighteningly high tempo. Only hope is they aren't as up for the Conference League as they were for the Europa league last season.

It's difficult as we've done amazingly well in Europe in the past. However, things are so much different now, the whole structure of all the euro competitions is stacked against clubs like ours.

Just to say I’m not against the fans making most of these trips when they do come along obviously, just from a football perspective there is something grim about being so far back on the European stage.

Not sure where tulza is in relation to Bosnia or logistics, but if they somehow got through would be cheap place to visit once in the country.

Tuzla is not an easy place to get to as it is on the far east of the country not far from the border with Serbia. Bosnia is a beautiful country though. The route from Mostar to Sarajevo is stunning. I doubt very much we will be going there though.
