Money is one. Prospects is another. Style of play and likelihood of being played out of position is a third. training methods that some may feel too onerous is a fourth. Character unsuitability is a fifth. The town and geography may influence some.

    My comment was tongue in cheek wendun. All those reasons do hold merit. The town one however? Hardly any players live in the town and haven't done for years I'd imagine.

    Rotherham United looking at 30 year old centre-half Grant Hall from Middlesbrough, the player
    has one year left on his contract, whether a loan or fixed transfer deal. ?
