Yes wendun can be a **** at times but his last post imo should be fetching you in discussing it but I suppose that’s too much for some
Thank you, millertop. My suggestions might be the "insanity model" but if you look at what Plymouth are doing, MKD are doing and most clubs in the Championship and L1 they are bringing in young players. They are also moving away from the dinosaur tactic of bypassing midfield and banging balls up to a target man. But having said that you lads pay your money and if you're happy with our recruitment and style of play then that's fine by me as these days I only rarely get over to games.

I don't think that we get enough credit for the way we play, have played over a few seasons. The main thing about football is winning games and playing at the higherst possible level.
There probably wasn't a team last season that matched our midfield in the ammount of work that did, crosses into the box or chances created. 2 of the midfielders have been subject to million pound plus offers from bigger clubs and the club has been able to turn them down.
The players that we have brought in seem to have some experience of lplaying in the Championship which is something that we've lacked for years thus probably the reason why we've been unable to stay there.
Buy, signing players who can compete mentally at the Championship level as well as physically is a must if we want to take that step further.

The other teams that you have mentioned are in league one still, we got out of there at the right time because I don't think that we'd be as competitive there this season.

Spot on frog, if we constantly bypass our midfield then why was it that the only bids we had, both in the millions as you said, were for 2 of our midfield players from other championship clubs?
Wendun will never rate PW and it wouldn't fit his narrative to give him some credit, even though he did apologise to PW last season for having a go at him and said he was wrong before backtracking and making himself look a bigger p***k than usual, if that was possible.
It seems the club cant win no matter what they try to do, but I do have to say I am a little worried by our lack of business which some of it was clearly out of our own hands. UTM

I have criticised PW in the past, but you cannot fault the amazing job he has done, especially last year, that was our most successful season ever, in terms of outcomes. Our midfielders are in demand because of their work rate and ability to close down and create something from that, however they can both play. I don't think we play through them enough, and having the variety in our game to play out from the keeper would add a dimension to us, people know what we are going to do when the CBs or keeper have the ball. My two worries at the moment are the level of business in the window and worse than that the fact PW doesnt beleive the current squad are anywhere near the levels he expects and knows we have to achieve to win games in the Championship. If our fans are not concerned, i think they are being a little naive. If we get the CB in today, that means our GK, CBs and Central midfield is ok, we still are very light at the front and it is there that wins games

I do agree with what you say Derby, nor am I naive enough to know we sometimes play the long ball in certain games too much for my liking, but it's easy for some to just state we are a long ball team when that is far from the truth.
The level of business in the window so far has seen us get what looks like some decent players, but the injuries sustained in pre season, coupled with being hijacked for some signings leaves me feeling uneasy because if any set of management teams and supporters know how good the quality is in the championship then its us. Well Humphreys can play, the young loan lad looked like he could play, wood can hit a nice pass, Odofinn can play and I haven't seen if McCart is a play playing CB, our wing backs tend to be converted midfielders and out of the midfield only Ollie is lacks something in the passing space (he brings a lot of other qualities), so I think we have the ability to mix it up a bit

If Bramall is out whose going to play left back or left wing back? Definitely not Bola, Ferguson can't have starting. Warney says we aren't in for Thompson from Brentford. Harding only one I can think of.

I haven’t seen any of new players play apart from bits on social media and the one on you tube so can’t comment really but views from some seem positive

Ferguson is class, you can see his speed of thought, his desire and his experience in the championship is perfect for us. Harding would do a job.
