Now Dave....you should know better.....a dozen games???
Who on this forum can wait a dozen games?....
Can we not just judge him before the evidence is in?
But in all seriousness...you are correct....lets wait for the season to get going......I'm still hoping that he may yet prove to be a Lukaku type forward....
We can dream can't we?
He appeared to bang them in on a regular basis for Barnsley in the same league so hopefully he will be capable of doing the same for us. I tend to agree with the points being made on the fact that fatigue shouldn't come into the equation as he only 22 years of age and it shouldn't be an issue.
As for Yakuslo, it's slightly different, but surely he will have been keeping himself fit during the close season although I appreciate the fact that unlike other team members, he hasn't been involved in pre-season friendlies. Having said this, he could be on the bench for the first couple of games and be able to compete for twenty to thirty minutes if required. Players are wrapped in 'cotton wool' these days.
Thanks for posting Soulman! A few more of those would be welcome this season ! I recently watched an interview with Dike and he comes across as a nice fella who is keen to start playing. Reading between the lines though I think he initially found pre-season training a bit harder than normal and was not 100% fit but -as others have pointed out-he is only 22 and should recover quickly. Hopefully even Bruce can see that he needs to start games asap because judging from the link 68 posted he is certainly more capable than Grant and we cannot afford for him not to start playing.
We desperately needed a centre forward and number 10 last season, we have them now and if Dike can stay fit we are in a good spot, remember also there are a lot of games before the transfer window ends.
