I wasn't impressed with this signing but I thought he was solid today without being spectacular.

Writing off, perhaps not, but he's a strange signing given his previous levels and not the answer if we want to push on from last year. Imo of course.

His 8 yard pass today in the last 10 minutes under no pressure whatsoever to his left that went straight out for a throw in sums him up.

I'd imagine we gave him a small fortune too for that extra year. Crazy stuff.

I think he will improve with game time, was out for quite a while. I'm hoping to **** that this coming week sees some spectacular signings, I've been very patient so far but starting to wilt now.

If I was to hazard a guess, I'd say we've brought him back to try and force Dundalk into paying a fee for a permanent transfer. No chance he's back to help out the first team.

My immediate thoughts were it was more to do with continuity than anything else, given we lost Fuchs, Butcher & Mcdonald from midfield.

Safe to say, I think we'll be starting the season with Birighitti in goals.

Thought Sibbald did enough today to begin to answer doubters. Covered a lot of ground, good ball winning and generally neat and tidy on the ball. Drove forward well.

Won't try and put a balanced appraisal of Harkes on as, like some other players, it seems that folk have made their mind up about him. Did however like his positioning with Ross clearly pushing him further forward.

Smith is not the answer in Centre Midfield. Decent fullback and made some good overlaping runs today that helped Cudjoe (who was good to watch with his attacking intent)

McMann, another pantomime villain, did absolutely nothing wrong today. Very solid. Agree we lack depth there though

Really?? I watched the game on the DUTV stream, and thought Sibbald played well. Definitely a fighting midfielder, but who can pass a ball. Think he will do really well for us, so your comments are strange!

Here to be proven wrong but I just can't see him bossing the midfield, which is what we need him to do.
