Anyone else feeling some positivity following our pre season efforts ?

Notwithstanding my ‘glass half full’ outlook, I believe we are better placed than our conclusion last season.
Given the financial restraints on our potential transfers, we have done ok. There appears to be more of a team spirit, despite Bartley’s presence.
Clearly, still a number of positional worries in certain areas, but overall I am feeling positive and looking forward to the season.
    Top six beckons ?

I am more than pleased with Wallace, Swift and Okay but without trying to put a downer on proceedings I ain't convinced with the defence unless Clarke rejoins and we bring in another decent goal scorer especially if Robinson goes because he is at least an alternative to Grant albeit a poor one.

    I was joking actually Paul.

I think we’ve made good signings and Yoksulu is an amazing addition at our level.

I worry about our defence though and the lack of a second true striker.

I don’t think we’ll be far off the top two spots.

I think we'll be very lucky to make top 6 with our current strikers. It cost us last season when we went through that period of not scoring.

Watford, Norwich and Sheff United will make up the top 3 imo and we will be playing against the rest for the other 3 places.

Would love to see gammon face flop, but can't see it happening.

The additions have lifted spirits some what but still too many old faces....I wonder how really different the starting eleven will be from last season....
Probably still some more activity to be done but lack of a goal poacher of sorts is still going to be the Achilles heel unless Dyke proves other wise.....but I remain optimistic none the less...that we should avoid a relegation battle....

I’m not sure whether, Db buddy, you’re being ‘optimistically pessimistic’ or showing ‘pessimistic optimism’ ! Is that an oxymoron?
