It certainly did. England won by 100 runs.

Hameed and Duckett absolutely smashing it for Notts. It's amazing how some players who would struggle to get into a club cricket side can score so many runs at county level 😉

A massive toss to win. It’s a disgrace that both clubs couldn’t agree on an early finish - 4.30 - due to the heat. The 2 Notts lads filled there boots once the Derbyshire bowlers started to wilt. The Notts boys would have been keeping cool with the exception of the 2 batters, whilst the Derby lads were being sapped of energy and probably the will to live.

From 439/1 yesterday to full on collapse mode today, scoring 63/5 so far this morning.

Hopefully batting is becoming more difficult and we have enough runs on the board.

I wish we were all out. Zero reason to still be batting now. Can’t lose the game and need time to take 20 wickets.

Notts sign Olly Stone for next season - if he stays fit he could be a great addition to the squad.

Suss ex ripped out for 143 this morning giving Notts a handy first innings lead of 97.

I wonder if this is the first instance of all 10 wickets being taken by different bowlers who's names begin with the same three letters (Pat) and end with the same three letters (son)?

    Paterson 15.2 - 2 - 43 - 5
    Pattinson 16 - 3 - 56 - 5

Great performance by the bowling team.
No sure about the Pat and son Elite you probably need to get out more.

It would be great to get promoted and a win would start to make that wish realistic.

How many points required to make promotion a cert?

'Mathematically', Middle***, in 3rd, can get to 246 (Notts are on 175). That includes dropped bowling points in their current match, which they are unlikely to win or get maximum batting points. Plus they yet have to play Glamorgan, in 2nd.

Realistically, a Notts win in this match should put them 30+ points ahead of Middle*** with 3 games to play each. A win in this match and 1 more for Notts should do it.

The final matches are all in September, which could see a few draws due to the weather.
