    Maxwel Cornet

Lots of reports in the last few hours that we're going to trigger his release clause of £17.5 million.

I rate him and think he'd be a good signing at that price. I think he's a good alternative to the other wingers we've been linked with this summer. Still only 25 and he'll have better players around him than at Burnley

    What do you think?

Decent price, 25 years old and we need a winger. Think he can also slot in as full back so a good addition.

I keep reminding myself where we were this time last year. Still early days in our development.

Just for comparison, last season in the Prem:

Maxwell Cornet: 9 goals and 1 assist

Dwight McNeil: 0 goals and 1 assist

and Everton just paid £20 million for him

That's my thinking too, we don't need to build a team of world beaters this window. Plus we can afford to make the odd mistake in the transfer market but i don't think Cornet would be a mistake, he's a decent player

I wouldn’t be disappointed if he signed so long as we get the much needed striker as well.

I think he'd be an upgrade on Frasier and definitely on Murphy so, aye, I'd be happy enough.

Definitely, from what I seen last season.he’s got an end product, which Murphy and Fraser are lacking, although I like Fraser.

I mean, I like them both-hard workers, etc, and Murphy is one of us.....but Frasier is on the downwards slope of his career and Murphy never really had much of a slope to start with, sadly.

Bruno played with Cornet at Lyon so maybe he's put in a good word for his former team mate too

if we do get him, he can join our new fanzone with the others. He can sell a range of stuff from milk and eggs and tins of beans to shoelaces and magazines. You know, like any other cornet shop.

It's ok, I'll see myself out...
