I don't totally agree with that CiB. It was going well I thought but, for whatever reason, Garlick pulled the plug 3/4 years ago.

2015, we brought in Andre Gray, Barton and Tarko, they all did a good job for us, but we somehow managed to let Tarko walk for nothing, no way to run a football club.

2016/17 we brought in Pope, JBG, Defour, Westwood and Brady. Defour and Brady got stuffed by injuries, nothing we could do about that, just one of those things, we've had our moneys-worth out of the other three. Then Hendrick, Taylor, Cork and Wood. We shamefully let Hendrick walk for nothing, but the other three were sound signings.

2018 it went a bit pear shaped, we spunked £30 million on Gibson, Hart and Vydra, I think Garlick got cold feet then and thought 'bugger this for a game of soldiers', the money tree was chopped down.

After that the squad was run down, the only serious money Garlick spent was on Jay and Brownhill, nowhere near enough to sustain us as a going concern in the PL. But for three years, from 2015 to 2017, we gave it a good go, spent some serious money and brought in some good players, and then just gave up to it, with the inevitable result.

Fair summary is that sinkov and I think just about spot on.

The difference now is Pace seems hell bent on getting deals done under the £3.5 million mark where Garlick sanctioned nonsense buys at over £10 million.

Benson was I think our TENTH signing since the window opened. Unprecedented or what?

So we survived for 3 full seasons in the PL with literally zero investment. That is pretty damn good. The best buy in terms of skill was Defour. That goal against Hull was a beauty and that free kick at Old Trafford.....I read somewhere he is coaching now.I wonder if he would like to come and help VK with the revolution.
