    Port Vale Post Match Thoughts

Well a win's a win even if it's hard fought. Around this time last year we were bemoaning the Tin Pot Papa John's Trophy and look where that ended up? Is this the Bronze Pot Carabao Cup? A couple of injuries picked up, a couple of goals and plenty of players given a run out. Not many got to see this one except the 190 souls who made the trip to Burslem so this thread might be quiet.

    Thoughts?

Injuries and their seriousness excluded it’s a good win.

A competitive game to see how our fringe players perform and a good run out for the ratter.

Wins build confidence no matter how achieved

I’ve seen that we made quite a few subs in the first half. Do the injuries seems serious or were the subs precautionary?

First two seems like injuries but walked off unaided and innocuous..but an hammy could be in different grades so you never know…think rest was just game time changes…

It kicked off a day late for me. We had a lovely family meal before the girls fly back and leave us two oldies alone.

I read that our second goal was a fabulous team goal.

Early days and another game that we can build from.

It could be a great season!

It was always going to be a banana skin match for us but we are through but it has come at a cost of losing one player for a few weeks. It is essential for us to have additions to our squad so we can cope with these injuries.Hopefully the targetted striker will be signed up today.
