What you quoted was in reply to keepers in someones lifetime, and i think my first game was after his time with us.

Rewatched Alkmaar goals. Goals 2 to 5 at minimum keeper could do better. He seems to now expect shots or be able to save them. Goal 3 he came for cross and missed it. Hearts 2 and 3 his fault. If I was defending all this would demoralise me. If you have a confident keeper behind you you feel indestructible if you don't you feel vulnerable.

A very accurate and logical summation in my view.

Sorry but I can't accept our midfield and defence unable to defend 11 goals properly is now also the goalkeeper's fault.
Yes he's had a difficult start and made bad mistakes but he's not getting much help is he?

One of the things that's contributed to this situation is the team was thrown together too late before the season started.

Combine your sentiments with those of Jim Jam and we have the complete picture, or thereabouts.

Shocker. On top of that another parry out by the keeper when he could’ve held it.

The second Hearts goal came through 5 players, he might’ve done better but I wouldn’t class it as a huge mistake. As mentioned elsewhere is this the Hinchcliffe effect? A garbage keeper coach by all accounts.

I think some people feel a goalkeeper should stop anything from a distance especially on the deck but watch any top league including England and you'll see keepers getting beaten near post and far post, usually by pace. PSV keeper threw one in last night by the way.
I'm not excusing the genuine mistakes the keeper has made, it's an issue and he's had a bad start, just think there's been a bit of a piley on and the shocking defending in front of him barely gets mentioned.
