I'd settle for creeping up the table year on year. That would at least hold out the possibility that sooner or later we would inevitably get where we wanna be. It seems to me, we're just not making any progress, in fact, we seem to be doing exactly the opposite.
It made me chortle that I was accused of ''negativity'', nothing I posted was less than 100% stone, cold, fact. I think some are getting their ideas of negativity and reasonable (deserved) criticism a bit mixed up.

    No… no we won’t accept mediocrity… never
That's right folks, pull out the old bed sheets, grab the paint brushes and marker pens and prepare the banners for Saturday?!?

Alternatively we could just moan on here and mention the pairing of Stubbs and Needham to make us feel better, that'll work .

Too early to mass behind the main entrance at the back of the Pavis stand if we lose against Chesterfield?

I'd like to agree with this statement but the gate figures currently suggest otherwise, most fans seem quite content winning the majority of home games at this level and making the play offs, which I expect we will do again this season. If not, we'd probably be looking at a 30% drop (around 2k) before stayaways force the issue, 4.5k gates are historically the point where owners really start to panic, but there's no sign of the attendances dropping that low at present.

Perfectly acceptable for Man Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle supporters to grab the pitchforks and torches but not lil ole Notts County… oh no. Accept your lot folks… heaven awaits.

You're kidding right? Virtual pitchforks, flaming torches we have got an impressive rich history in that regard from behind our keyboards and smart phones. I was talking about real life protests (old school banners in the stands, a protest march to the stadium, organised walk outs etc) , they have have all occurred inside and outside Old Trafford, Emirates stadium and at St James'. When it comes to them we historically barely register.

Safer to keep the moans, complaints, criticism and anger contained to the internet#viva

Didn't we have a mini one during FullaBob's reign? Or is my mind playing tricks on me?

Its not so easy to take when you pay £35 coach travel and nearly £20 to get in, plus food and drink.

Orient home. And that was enough to tip Trew over the edge and announce he would selling the club a day or so later.

Hard to put a figure on it, but I'd guess it only takes around 10% of the crowd to turn the atmosphere toxic and seriously rattle cages. The Fullarton protest however followed a season in which we had been relegated and was the 3rd successive home defeat with the gate that Saturday afternoon just 4,878.

After posting I was thinking about the last couple we had. Yup definitely one during Fullarton's reign, that one home match in particular was the most toxic I ever recall a meadow lane crowd with a group of fans gathered behind the dugout with the game in progress unchallenged shouting obscenities and telling the poor man where to go in no uncertain terms.

The other was near the end of the Murphy/Thompson era, nice to see some banners to accompany the usual chants of genuine displeasure.

Bar those two we tend to either stay away and/more moan online during my time as a fan.
