The NHS jerked their knees and said if that happens they'll be swamped and won't cope. Reality was the scientists over estimated the severity, the NHS was never any more stressed than it already was (probably less) and nurses and doctors spent their days dancing on Tik Tok videos. Meanwhile people died because they were afraid to go to doctors and / or hospitals because they might just cause the NHS more stress (Might have reduced the number of Tik Tok videos they could make right enough), cancer and other life threatening conditions went undiagnosed and NHS waiting lists were simply suspended resulting in them now being years long in many instances.

The media also listened to scientists and the NHS and embarked on a project fear that had people believing if they stepped outside their houses they would be attacked by clouds of virus intent on killing them - caused of course by them thinking movies like I Am Legend were real life stories rather than total fantasy.

Government had no choice in the end but to cave in to the pressure they were being pout under. I agree with very few Tory policies but Boris got it right from the start and should have gone with his herd immunity plan.

A certain pair on here were telling people from the start that we were being taken for a ride, that pair were called for all sorts by people who seemingly knew better and who obviously were happy to be controlled. That pair were of course absolutely correct.
It was the scum Tories, get with the programme
