We're turning into the boiled frogs of non league, accepting our fate meekly without realising what's happening.
I am certainly not ready to shrug a defeat off. If we capitulate then that is obviously unacceptable. All I am saying is that I am expecting us to give 100% in all areas, if we do but still lose, then it won't be the end of the world for me.

If they can get their act together, why can't we? Can't understand why we have been written off already by so many.

He did, can't believe I forgot about big Sam, we haven't had that much success to forget about a promotion! Didn't he leave us second in D1? Not sure we've ever been higher since.

You're right it's not the end of the world after four games. Still, it would be nice to be right amongst it from the off rather than trying to haul back 5-12 points on the leaders by November as keeps happening.

Big Sam and Warnock is very impressive for any one owner, regardless of the rabble in between such as Howard Kendall, briefly.

I think there's a balance to be struck, managers need time as well as a budget but the good ones tend to affect positive change pretty quickly, certainly after a close season.
Martin Allen was the worst sacking for me, he was clearly building something but was hamstrung by having contracted players sitting out their contracts but I believed he'd have taken us up the following season if we're stuck with him.
I think you could add Allardyce for Pavis.

Dunnett did do well with those two, but he also employed Larry Lloyd and Richie Barker.

I only remember Larry Lloyd for one thing he took us to the top of the league for about three days I doubt anyone of us will see that again.

I think you just have to accept, that if some people on here are going after the coach's head after three unbeaten games, they will be the same people moaning even if we were top. Some folk are never happy unless moaning. If we are out of the play offs after 10 games, fair do's, but give the LW a chance, and you can stick any happy clapper comments where the sun don't shine.
I have every confidence Notts will spend the Cal and Florist gate money on new recruits, but better to wait till the quality comes along, than sign someone for the sake of it.

Next thing you'll be telling us that not being promoted is more likely than being promoted.

    Oops, you already have.

Yeah, we seemed on course to certainly be in the fight for promotion to what is now the championship but then Pavis gave it to Gary Brazil one he left and we haven't been anywhere near since, although Keith Curle did nearly sneak us into the playoffs in his first season
